Don’t lose the gratitude of the season
I hope you’ve had a fantastic week in your corner of the world. Here in the United States we celebrated Thanksgiving. It’s a time for us to get together with friends and family around a ridiculous amount of food to have some fun. My tradition for the past 10 years or so has been to journey into Brooklyn to my friend Zawadi’s house.
She and I consider ourselves Gemini twins; we share the same birthday, and were born the same year in the same city (Chicago) and have tons in common. We met freshmen year of college, and later found ourselves living in New York City. Instead of stressing about getting flights to Chicago for each holiday we decided instead to start a new tradition. Each year we gather with our closest friends for a potluck dinner and a super competitive game of Taboo!
As the weekend draws to a close I encourage you to keep the spirit of the season as best you can. Don’t lose the gratitude of the season and keep the lines of your expressive joy open to your friends and family
