The Best Brands Anticipate The Need
Everyone makes mistakes in business. I made a whooping mistake a couple of days ago. I decided to do an electronic cleanse and dumped a bunch of unused and old files from my server. As a result of dumping them I dumped the files that generate this blog and it was 2 days before I realized it! I couldn’t believe it. Fortunately, I’ve had enough electronic errors in my day to know exactly what I should do if I’m going to rectify it immediately.
The first thing I did was contact my hosting provider. I told them what I deleted and asked them if there were any recourse. They immediately talked me through the steps to restore my files, which they backup automatically every day, and store for 7 days. Not bad for $15/month.
Once I completed the steps that they had me to take to restore the files, they recreated the user names attached to my database and I was back up and running. All of the photos, files and comments that were originally posted returned to the page as if they had never left.
Not only did they deliver Brand Excitement, they also anticipated my needs “in case” I should ever need them. Isn’t that what the best brands do everyday? When you’re in constant communication with your customers/clients you probably do the same thing. When you solve the problems of one client, think of how you can incorporate that benefit so that all of your clients can benefit. Kudos to ICD Sure Support! I don’t generally plug my resources, but they earned a shout today
